Teachers in the age of AI: A free course you shouldn’t miss

The arrival of artificial intelligence in education is generating excitement, doubts, and above all… lots of questions.

And I get it.
Because implementing AI in the classroom — or in a school’s digital strategy — is not just about using a new tool.

It means thinking differently.
It means being trained.
It means acting with purpose.
It also means looking carefully and responsibly at how it affects our students, our routines, and our entire school culture.

That’s why, when I was invited to contribute to the free course “Teachers in the Age of AI” by Founderz + Microsoft, I didn’t hesitate.
Not just because of what it represents, but because of how it was designed: with a focus on pedagogy, ethics, and real-life use.

Today I want to share 5 reasons why I believe this course can truly support you — whether you’re just starting out or already integrating AI into your daily work.

1. Because it doesn’t start with the tool — it starts with the purpose

A phrase I often repeat in my trainings:
“AI isn’t about using more — it’s about using it better.”

And that’s exactly where this course begins.
It’s not about learning every feature, but understanding why and how to use AI meaningfully — and what impact it can have in your school.

This is very much aligned with how I support teachers and leadership teams.

2. Because it clearly addresses ethics, data privacy and the law

One of the biggest concerns (and rightly so) is how to protect student data.

The course explains what the EU AI Act and GDPR say, how to use AI responsibly in education, and what risks to consider.

Spoiler: not all AI tools are safe or appropriate for schools.

3. Because students are at the center

AI isn’t just for teachers.
This course also explores how to introduce it to students in a way that’s pedagogical, critical and inclusive.

  • How do we promote responsible use?

  • What are the risks of misinformation, bias or over-dependence?

  • How do we design meaningful learning activities with AI?

We explore all of this with practical examples and clear frameworks.

4. Because it includes real case studies from schools

Sometimes what we need isn’t more theory, but to see that other schools just like yours have already started their journey.

In the course, we share real experiences of implementation, the challenges that emerged, and how they were tackled.

Spoiler 2: It’s never perfect — and that’s okay. Learning is part of the process.

5. Because it’s free, online, and certified

Yes , completely free.
100% online, at your own pace, and with a certificate upon completion.

A real opportunity to start learning about AI without pressure, without financial barriers, and with peace of mind.

And best of all, it’s designed by educators, for educators — thinking of people like you.
